An Khê Lake - A super chill camping spot in Quang Ngai

 AN KHÊ LAKE As the largest lake in Quảng Ngãi province, An Khê is a camping spot that many tourists love. Here, visitors can watch the sunset, immerse themselves in nature and enjoy a peaceful life. 

According to Quảng Ngãi newspaper, An Khê Lake is located in the coastal area of Sa Huỳnh, bordering between Phổ Khánh and Phổ Thạnh communes, Đức Phổ town. The lake has a water surface area of about 347ha, the longest measured length is 3.5km, and the widest width is about 1km. The lake has water all year round, the water level at the deepest point in the lake is about 4m. According to geologists, An Khê Lake was formed in the period of sea regression after the maximum sea transgression Flandrian 6,000-7,000 years ago and became a freshwater lake about 3,000 - 4,000 years from now. 

An Khê Lake is the living space of the ancient Sa Huỳnh people, followed by the Champa people and later Đại Việt. With its rare historical-cultural value and poetic natural landscape, An Khê Lake is a destination that many tourists love. Coming here, visitors feel relaxed before the rustic, peaceful scenery. In recent times, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quảng Ngãi province has coordinated with the People’s Committee of Đức Phổ town to organize some interesting experiential activities at An Khê Lake such as food festivals, boat races… Recently, Quảng Ngãi tourism sector also organized a performance of artistic kite flying in An Khê Lake area, attracting many tourists to admire. Besides An Khê Lake, Đức Phổ town is gradually becoming an attractive tourist destination of Quảng Ngãi with many other impressive places. 

The “southernmost” land of the province owns beautiful beaches, and many historical relics, including many national-level relics.
